WHAT IS ACNE AND HOW TO CARE FOR ACNE?
Acne is an inflammatory disease caused by the clogging of sebaceous glands. The cause of the inflammation is excessive sebum accumulation in the sebaceous glands in which harmful bacteria multiply. The plugging of sebaceous glands is caused by the keratinisation of the sebaceous gland mouths. It is, in fact, the hypertrophy (thickening) of the keratin layer - the topmost layer of the epidermis. By thickening the keratin layer, the epidermis fights dehydration or harmful external influences. The most frequent causes of this hypertrophy include insufficient fluid intake, skin degreasing by detergents or soaps, excessive sunlight exposure and contact with chemicals.

The cause of the sebaceous gland plugging is the hypertrophy (thickening) of the epidermal horny layer. The horny layer is the outermost layer of the epidermis. Epidermal cells are formed in the basal layer. They gradually move upwards, lose their nucleus, and become flat and keratinise. These flattened cell walls are interconnected into a horny mass saturated with sebum, which is continuously replenished from the lower layers and flakes off on the top. Thanks to this continuous cycle, our epidermis is renewed every 26-28 days, while the daily loss of keratin amounts to 6-14 g.

| With normal thickness of the epidermal horny layer, the sebum produced is discharged to the surface along the hair. |
Hyperkeratinization closes the mouths of sebaceous glands, the sebum produced accumulates inside, and a comedo (whitehead, blackhead) is formed. |
Bacteria multiply in the decaying sebum and inflammation develops. |
In most cases, acne starts as the inflammation of the tissue around the sebaceous glands. The sebaceous gland itself is the starting point of the inflammatory process that is often restricted to the sebaceous duct. The process can be divided into two stages: the first is the clogging of the sebaceous gland and comedo formation, and the second is the purulent process itself. Very strong inflammation can destroy the whole sebaceous gland.
For effective repair of acneous manifestations, the hyperkeratinization of the epidermis must be reduced effectively, and the excessive activity of sebaceous glands must be suppressed. The horny layer must be kept sufficiently lubricated. Preparations based on natural high-molecular hyaluronate have these effects.
THE IMPORTANCE OF HIGH-MOLECULAR HYALURONATES IN THE SKIN
In a number of cosmetic products, the effective substances get only into the outermost and, in fact, already dying layer of epidermis; this fact generally negates any effectiveness of most cosmetic products. The manufacturers of cosmetic products do not boast themselves on these facts. The only exceptions are preparations that contain special components capable of penetrating even the deep epidermal layers - if possible even to the basal cells from which the epidermis grows. Hyaluronate is an example of such a component.
Hyaluronates are derivatives of hyaluronic acid, and they have a number of irreplaceable physiological functions such as the maintenance of tissue structure, their lubrication and protection. Hyaluronates control the exchange of nutrients between cells and the water content in tissues. Moreover, hyaluronates create the environment for cell divisions, cell migration and adhesion.
Hyaluronates have a fundamental role in the skin physiology, in its structural functioning and repair. They have exceptionally high water-binding capability and they fill the intercellular space, helping thus to create space for cell divisions and cell metabolic functions. During physiological aging and also in some diseases due to external effects (such as exposure to UV radiation or to drugs), the normal functions of the skin, as well as its healing capacity, are impaired. Clinical experiments have shown that such changes are accompanied by decreased hyaluronate concentration in the skin. After the administration of preparations containing hyaluronates, these disturbances are repaired, at least partially and for some time.
HY FACTOR ACNE CARE COSMETICS
It is a unique series of cosmetic preparation utilising the exceptional properties of high-molecular hyaluronates in the care for aging (FACE) and problematic (ACNE) complexion.
Preparations of the ACNE series contain the maximal share of natural high-molecular magnesium-sodium hyaluronate, which very quickly replenishes the water deficit in the epidermis (“hyperhydration”), suppresses the increased activity of sebaceous glands, starts the spontaneous separation of superfluous necrotic cells in the horny layer, and lubricates and disinfects the mouths of sebaceous glands. This clears the comedones, and the inflamed foci heal quickly. The effect is very fast and efficient. The preparations show high effectiveness in all types of complexions and are very well tolerated.
ACNE CARE FOR PROBLEMATIC WOMEN'S COMPLEXION
HY FACTOR - MORNING CARE
1) Cleanse the washed complexion with ACNE TONIK by means of cosmetic sponges. Complete the treatment by massaging a small quantity of ACNE TONIK into the skin.
2) In dry complexions, and if you feel excessive skin tension, treat the complexion with CREAM REGENER.
Do not expose the treated complexion to frost for at least twenty minutes after the application; wait the same time before using any other cosmetics!!! Hyaluronate would also transport other hazardous additives into deep skin (chemical preservatives or dyes of decorative cosmetics), which otherwise remain harmless on the skin surface.
HY FACTOR - EVENING CARE
1) Cleanse the washed complexion with ACNE TONIK by means of cosmetic sponges.
2) Apply ACNE REGENER on the cleansed complexion and rub it gently into the skin. Repeat this procedure patiently until the whole content of the vial has been used!!!
3) In dry complexions, and if you feel excessive skin tension, treat the complexion with CREAM REGENER.

HY FACTOR - MORNING CARE
1) Cleanse the washed complexion with ACNE TONIK by means of cosmetic sponges. Complete the treatment by massaging a small quantity of ACNE TONIK into the skin.
Only then can one begin to shave. Use ACNE TONIK as an aftershave - rub a small quantity into the skin again. In case of problematic skin, proceed in this way before and after every shaving.
2) In dry skin, and if you feel excessive skin tension, treat the complexion with CREAM REGENER.
Do not expose the treated complexion to frost for at least twenty minutes after the application; wait for the same time before using any other cosmetics!!!
